Q) What does your software do?
A) Our program is designed to automatically
install additional emoticon and MSN Display Pictures (smiley
icons, objects or fonts) directly into MSN Messenger or Windows Live
Messenger.
Q) When ever I try to use MsgThemes it displays an error
message asking for MSVBVM60.dll what can I do?
A) This can be easily resolved, simply download and run
this file (click here), once installed you will be able to use
MsgThemes
Q) What instant messaging program does your software work for?
A) Our software works with MSN Messenger 7, MSN Messenger 7.5
and Windows Live Messenger, unfortunately it doesn't work with any
other Instant Message program
or on any previous version of MSN Messenger.
Q) Does the MsgThemes work with other MSN Messenger add-ons
created?
A) Yes
Q) I've installed one pack of emoticons from MsgThemes can I now
install more emoticon packs?
A) Yes!!! Install as many as you like, there is no limit to the
amount you can install, since every MsgThemes emoticon pack and MSN
Display Picture pack is FREE you might as well take advantage of our
ample selection.
Q) Why can I only send 5
different emoticons in one message?
A) Microsoft have set a limit to the amount of "custom emoticons"
that you can send in one message, currently there is no way
round this limitation.
Q) Your software is way cool can I host
it and write about it on my website?
A) Yeah, no problem, as long as you distribute the software as it
came with no modifications
Q) I've visited this website but I can't see the emoticons on
my drop down list!
A) You need to download and double click on the emoticon installer
software, and then follow the on screen instructions.
Q) How do I use the new emoticons?
A) Simply use the standard drop down emoticon menu (note only
your first 10 in your custom emoticons list will appear on
there) on MSN Messenger or by keyboard shortcuts- please read the
help file (distributed with the emoticon installer) for further
details and keyboard shortcuts for your emoticon installer pack.
Q) Why is this software free?
A) We believe that paying for a simple utility is uncommon and by
distributing this software as freeware our software will be
accessible to more people.
Q) Can I change which emoticons appear on the drop down menu ?
A) Yes.
1. On the Tools menu, click Create Emoticons.
2. Select the emoticon that you want to move
3. Select Move up or Move down to move the emoticon where you want
The first 10 emoticons will appear on your drop down menu
Q) I've installed the emoticons on my PC but when I log in
under a different username they don't appear, why?
A) This is due to the way in which MSN Messenger operates its
accounts, if you wish to use the emoticons under a different log in
address then simply log in to MSN Messenger and re-install the
software, you can do this with as many accounts as you like
Q) How do I change the name of your emoticons?
A)
1 . Open up the main MSN Messenger window then select the "Tools"
menu, click on the "Create Emoticons" button.
2 . Select the emoticon that you wish to change the name of, and
then click on the "Modify" button.
3 . Make the changes to the name, and then click on the "Save
Changes" button.
4 . In the "My Custom Emoticons" window simply, click on "OK".
Q) For some reason MsgThemes is not running or is giving me
an error message, can you help!?
A) Yes sure, its in our interest to improve reliability
